A graduate of the University of Minnesota with a doctorate in organic and analytical chemistry, Evan A. Weitz holds active membership in both the American Chemical Society and the Royal Society of Chemistry. His areas of research and expertise include the development and synthesis of biologically relevant chemical sensors such as magnetic resonance imaging contrast agents. Evan A. Weitz has demonstrated an ability to plan and execute experimental studies with a focus on best laboratory practices and the integral maintenance of data. His work has appeared in scholarly publications such as Chemistry, ACS Nano, and the Journal of the American Chemical Society.

Since 2015, Evan A. Weitz has been broadening his understanding of battery chemistry and other electronics issues as a senior lab technician with Absolute Sound Laboratories in Savage, Minnesota. Currently a co-owner of this business, he oversees the repair and restoration of vintage hi-fi consumer audio equipment. As one of three McIntosh Factory Service centers in the world, Absolute Sound handles audio equipment from past eras.
